The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had car problems and arrived extremely late but we got a warm welcome. In the morning, the young woman on reception was extremely helpful, suggesting the wording in French and printing out a warning notice to stick on our car windscreen to warn lorry drivers that our speed was restricted.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, although we felt that more were needed during the evening, when there were arrivals and dinner service. Dinner was excellent and fairly priced, and breakfast was good.

We had a very nice stay with our little dog so the grounds were great for walking him out. The receptionist I think her name was Natalie was most helpful when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We also left an item behind and they rang us to let us know. Luckily we really enjoyed our stay and will return end of Oct on our return journey home back to Spain and they will hold on to the item for us. Will use this hotel again on our trips between UK & Spain great access to Motorway plenty of parking. The restaurant was closed but Natalie recommended a great little restaurant just a few minutes drive away and the meal was excellent.

A stunning property. This place is something special. It’s very well presented with quirky decor, big rooms, lovely gardens and overall an old and interesting property. The beds were huge with wonderful sheets and lovely big soft towels. We ate in the restaurant where the food was excellent and very well priced. A great wine list too! Very convenient to the motorway and parking right outside. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

very quiet outskirts place with huge vineyard at the back of the hotel. There is a big garden in the hotel nice to sit outside for a drink in the afternoon. Dinner is very nice. well cooked and served nicely. We enjoyed the place very much. relaxing and comfortable.

Perfectly located amongst the vineyards, with excellent air conditioning and a pool - a godsend in the hot weather, the main part of the chateau is quirkily furnished (Dick and Angel have a lot to answer for). We ate dinner outdoors in the shade of the trees - a lovely setting - and breakfast was comprehensive- at €15 pp. We spent a great day visiting Macon, Cluny and Lugny - and buying wine.

It was a convenient location for us, it's a very nice set-up, the old mansion with the pool, and offers great food. Everything was super clean, the rooms are well sized and the beds are comfortable. Friendly staff and good value for money.

We had an overnight stay Chateau de La Barge on route to the Alpes. It was close to the motorway, so an excellent location in that respect. The staff were very friendly, our rooms were very comfortable, the evening meal very tasty and the wine was fantastic, so much so that we bought a selection to take home with us!

Handsome chateau building, Massive family suite. Comfortable beds, magnificent bathroom, good coffee making (you need to bring your own milk). Very dog-friendly. Nice grounds with attractive (summer-only) pool. Popular restaurant. Decent breakfast. Big commercial centre close by with excellent boulangeries etc
